**Originally Listed At $50**

Pre-Columbian, Mexico, Vera Cruz, ca. 600 to 900 CE. An amusing hand-built terracotta avian figure with nubbin-shaped legs, broad wings folded back against a lengthy body, and a puffed-out chest. The head is comprised of a short beak, a pair of perforated circular eyes, and an enormous pleated crest with a black-painted surface. Drilled through the front of the crest for suspension. Size: 3.25" H (8.3 cm).
