bronze mounts attributed to PIERRE EMMANUEL GUERIN (French/American 1833-1911) A VERNIS MARTIN STYLE ORMOLU MOUNTED POLYCHROME MAHOGANY VITRINE, POSSIBLY NEW YORK, CIRCA 1900, the arched molded crest centering a pierced acanthus scroll ormolu mount, over a wide frieze, above a single arched bombé glazed door with a lower bombe panel, painted with a bucolic scene of youthful lovers in a garden, signed "Alberto," flanked by serpentine glazed side panels over lower serpentine reserves painted in landscape, within female bust ormolu mounts and cabriole legs with knees mounted with ormolu acanthine flourishes, terminating in ormolu mounted feet, joined by an arched ormolu leafy flourish ormolu mounted skirt; the ormolu crest marked with number 317 and an "A," verso a partial gold foil label with a central GR in monogram. Some mild surface wear, patina to ormolu, a few minor chips to veneer, but otherwise in very good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
