Description
Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 2nd to 3rd century CE. A breathtaking translucent, amber hued, free-blown, miniature aryballos vessel with a spherical body, a short cylindrical neck, a gently flared infolded rim, and twin trailed handles joining shoulders to the upper neck - all sitting upon a ring base. Contributing to the piece's undeniable beauty is threadlike trailing wound around the body's contours of the body and gorgeous areas of rainbow iridescence over the golden hues. Truly a marvel of utter beauty for its form and color. Size: 2.625" H (6.7 cm)
