A Nazca polychrome painted ceramic bowl, South Coast, Peru, circa 400-600 A.D. The interior of the bowl is decorated with eight fish, painted in maroon, orange and cream on a brown ground with flecks of cream, representing plankton (abundant in the Peruvian coastal waters). Measures 6.75" diameter, 2.25" high.
CONDITION: Excellent, no adverse condition issues, no repairs or restoration.
