Description
Southern Africa, possibly Zulu people, ca. early 20th century CE. A fine hand-carved example of a knobkierie, a club with a large knob at one end, made to be thrown at animals while hunting. With a long, thin handle, and terminating in a rounded knob set inside of a ridged curve, all carved from a single piece of wood. Size: 2.45" W x 21.45" H (6.2 cm x 54.5 cm)
