Cream silk woven with an overall metallic gold foliate pattern, slightly ruffled cap sleeve, pieced bodice with inverted "V" over crossed panels, surplice back, trumpet flared skirt with rounded train, self belt and back bow. Label "Miss Ford Ltd. 41A Albemarle St. W. 1.", attached tag with notation "Coronation", possibly worn to Coronation of George VI. B-36, W-32, L 57-70. (Light soil to train edge) excellent. Lot includes copy of "The Illustrated London News", May 15, 1937 with Coronation coverage (lacking cover).
