Description
Grey silk decorated with bands of fancy cord and tasseled fringe, peplum bodice having long sleeve with ruffled cuff and dorset buttons, skirt with fringed swags caught in self bows to the sides, trained back gathered at the waistline, hem trimmed with pleated and lace-trimmed gauze ruffle, lower skirt backed in tarlatan. Petersham label "Gask & Gask, 58-62. Oxford Street London", DLM tag, lot 412, Christie's auction, May 28, 1970. B-36, W-32, L 42-65. (Scattered noticeable spots, bow possibly missing on each cuff as stitches are visible) good.
