Description
Black twill scattered with flowers in shades of rust, green and blue, having very large imbecile sleeves with shoulder tucks and box-pleated self ruffle at cuff, boatneck bodice with ruching beneath five fanning self bands, wide waistband with self belt, full gathered skirt with wide cotton hem facing, B-36, W-28, L-47. DLM tag states dress was Lot 156 at Christie's 11/24/69 sale. Doris called this dress "the bargain of the day" at $70 in correspondence with Helen. Exhibited at the Melbourne Art Festival, "L'Epoque d'Elegance", 1991. (Tiny hole at back waist) excellent.
