DESCRIPTION: A Mayan polychromed cylindrical pottery footed vessel. Features an earthenware foundation polychromed with depictions of deities or regal figures, seated interacting with mythical beasts,holding serpents, smoking from pipes,and holding religious or ceremonial objects. Rests atop four feet seen along the underside of the base. These items have been appraised and authenticated by Carol Damian, Master of Art in Pre-Columbian Art History from the University of Miami, with an array of professional academic experience in the field of Pre-Columbian art such as Assistant Professor of Art History at Florida International University, Special Consultant of Pre Columbian Art at the Lowe Art Museum, and Special Consultant at the Consulate of Peru.
