**First Time At Auction**
North America, Native American, Southeastern US, Eastern Woodlands tribe, ca. 500 to 1500 CE. A lovely pair of hand-formed Native American stone items. First is a knapped chert arrowhead with an elongated oval form, sharp and unevenly-serrated edges, and a rounded point. Next is a hefty full-groove stone axe, carved from a mottled dark hardstone with light-hued inclusions, with a triangular butt end and a curved, flat axe head. Size (arrowhead): 3.875" L (9.8 cm); Size (axe head): 5.5" L (14 cm).
Provenance: private Orange County, California, USA collection, acquired before 2000

Condition
Arrowhead has old adhesive residue on one side as well as small chips to surfaces and edges. Axe head has some surface roughness, minor losses to butt end and recessed groove border, with light earthen and mineral deposits throughout.
