Description
"Engraved in hieroglyphs with the signs of “life, happiness and gold” ( wishes for riches and a happy life)
The decoration of the scarab is dominated by a gold sign which is flanked by two Ankh signs. Above the gold sign, other signs are visible which are typical for so-called Anra-scarabs usually dated to the Hyksos period. Although the hieroglyphs on scarabs of this period are often not readable, the signs may be read as anx nb ""(our) lord (i. e. the king) may live""."
