Miller, Henry. TROPIC OF CANCER. Paris: Obelisk Press, (1934). First Edition. First Printing of this 20th century classic which was not published in the United States for an additional 27 years. 7 1/2 by 5 1/2 inches in the original color pictorial self-wrappers, restored but retaining most of the famous front image designed by Maurice J. Kahane. Anais Nin wrote the preface. 1,000 copies printed.

Condition

With extensive professional paper restoration to spine and both panels and a very small closed tear to the front free endpage. Internally clean and complete, and, given the scarcity of this true first printing, a desirable example which "shows" quite well.
