Description
A Greek terracotta roundel depicting the face of a Gorgon, c. 4th - 2nd Century BC, molded in relief with attractive features; two holes at top for suspension. 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 in (8.3 x 8.3 cm). Light deposits. Ex UK private collection acquired from Herakles Numismatics and Antiquities, Munich in early 2000's; previously belonging to a German private collection formed in the 1970's.
