Description
Near East, Islamic world, ca. 12th century CE. A petite glass perfume jar with a concave base and smooth pontil, slightly flared body with thick walls, a tall cylindrical neck, a narrow mouth, and a wide, flared rim. The entire vessel has a stunning emerald green hue, and light layers of silvery and rainbow surface iridescence complement the overall appearance. An absolutely beautiful example of Islamic glasswork! Size: 2.75" H (7 cm).

Surface wear commensurate with age, minor chips to top of rim and base, and minor earthen and mineral deposits across exterior surface. Great silvery and rainbow iridescence has formed over time.
