DESCRIPTION: Frank Job Short (England, 1857-1945). Two etchings on paper. Each framed and matted. Includes: 1) Etching depicting a harbor scene. Signed lower right in pencil. 10-1/4" x 7-1/4". Overall with frame and mat 21" x 17-1/4". 2) Etching depicting a farm in Bromborough as noted by plate marking. Signed lower left in pencil. 7-3/4" x 3-3/8". Overall with frame and mat 15-1/4" x 10-3/4". PROVENANCE: From the collection of Dr. Beate A. Schiwek (1943-2016), Chambersburg, PA. Dr. Schiwek was the Dean and Chief Academic Officer at Felician College in Lodi, NJ, Wilson College in Chambersburg, PA and Rosemont College in Rosemont, PA. While at Felician, she became the first dean of a private college to serve as National President of the Council of Colleges at Arts & Sciences. MEASUREMENTS: See Description. CONDITION: Minor toning and undulation. Minor wear to frames.
