[4], xii, [13]-283, [13] pp. 19th c. half morocco over marbled boards, scuffing to spine/hinges and edges. Ffe with ink inscription dated 1935, two bibliographical clippings laid onto pastedown/ffe, ink inscription to title, else contents with some mild toning/foxing, a Very Good example. Provenance: With the engraved bookplate of Samuel W. Pennypacker, the Pennsylvania governor, judge, and author. **************************************** First American Edition. The preface, a "Dedication to the English Nation," exhorts readers "never to suffer an invasion of YOUR political constitution, however minute the instance may appear, to pass by, without a determined, persevering resistance.
