Pre-Columbian, Mayan Territories, purportedly found near Colha, Belize, Preclassic Maya period, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A group of twenty-nine knapped chert fragments used either as spear points or arrow points. Some pieces are straight and tubular in form, others with distinct triangular shapes, and some with distinguishable handles or tails for nocking or securing to a stick or pole. While most of the stones display a rich midnight-black color, a couple display either a mottled brown hue or a near-transparent yellow. Size of largest: 2.375" L (6 cm).

Provenance: private New York, New York, USA collection; ex-Borenstein collection, Florida, USA, acquired 1960s-1970s. Purportedly found 10 miles from Altun HA, a large Maya city in Belize
