Racing In America 1866-1921 W. S. Vosburgh horse racing 1st edition 1922, Privately printed for the NY Jockey Club The author was one of the founding members of the Jockey Club and considered the “greatest handicapper” of his time. When he died in 1938, after 60 years in racing, his obituary called Racing in America his most “ambitious writing effort.” Privately Printed for the Jockey Club by the Scribner Press. Cloth-backed boards with title label. Boards worn at corners wear along the front hinge; light tearing to head of spine; some loss to the spine title label. Internally very good.; 56 photographic plates of racehorses and their jocks. Approx. 11x13.5 inches.
