Description
Two original pastel and pencil paintings by Dale Burlison DeArmond (Sitka, Alaska 1914-2006). The portrait paintings depict a Tlingit / Inuit man and woman, each dressed in ceremonial potlatch costumes. Note attached to the reverse of the male portrait reads in-part.." Old medicine man wearing a copper ceremonial hat. The bird's head is of carved yellow cedar with a copper eye.." Artist signed in pencil. Each measuring 13.5" x 10.5". Framed under glass, 16" x 13" and 16.5" x 13.5".
NOTE: DeArmond's paintings are quite scarce.
