Mihail Chemiakin Authentic & Large Original pastel painting, saturated with bold color, intricate detail, and passionate expression. Furthermore, the immaculate artwork is of impressive craftsmanship and size, measuring approximately 44" x 30", and 52" x 38" with the frame constructed specifically for this painting. Additionally, Chemiakin's most desired images are dynamic illustrations of abstract portraits. Like the one here, “The Original Aristocrats", a whimsical portraits of two men from the ruling class, which combines his most coveted subjects and finest talents. Giving the viewer fabulous insight into his full realm of captivating genius, and why he is considered a master of contemporary art. Finally, it has remained in excellent condition since it was created by Chemiakin in 1994, is hand signed and dated in the lower left corner, and guaranteed authentic.

Mihail Chemiakin (1943- ): Like many artists, the controversy surrounding his personality and his creations has only added to his celebrity status and created increased demand for his art. Mihail Chemiakin was exiled from the Soviet Union in 1971 because his divergent beliefs were deemed a threat to the nation. Chemiakin moved to France where he published "Apollon-77," an almanac of post-Stalinist works. In 1981, he moved to New York City. He continued to work on creating art which often depicts distorted and grotesque images. They are intended to shock the audience, challenge pre-conceived notions, and encourage the view to think more deeply about the world they are a part of. In 2011, ironically he was commissioned by the city of Moscow to create a monument and is now highly regarded by the Russian government and he serves as a source of nationalistic pride. The Sculpture was named "Children are the Victims of Adult Vices" which was a series depicting adult issues including drug addiction and prostitution nearby to two young children playing and seemingly unaware of the vices around them. Today his art is on display in some of the most renowned collections, where it is enjoyed by critics and collectors alike.
