Description
An original pastel and pencil painting by Dale Burlison De Armond (Sitka, Alaska 1914-2006). The portrait painting depicts a Tlingit / Inuit man dressed in a ceremonial potlatch costume. Note attached to the reverse of the portrait reads in-part.." Old medicine man wearing a copper ceremonial hat. The bird's head is of carved yellow cedar with a copper eye.." Artist signed in pencil. Measures 13.5" x 10.5". Framed under glass, 16" x 13".
