Description
Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Jalisco, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. One of the finer "sheep-face" figures we have had the pleasure of offering. Seated female wearing a striped and polka dot skirt, nude above the waist wearing large painted ear spools, headband and holding an object in her right hand with her left hand held to her head as if to say "Boys, if you want it, come and get it…" Size: 6.25" W x 11" H (15.9 cm x 27.9 cm).
Provenance: Ex-private Scollard collection, acquired before 1990
