1535 HUGE Medieval Law Folios of Alexander Tartagni Roman Civil Pandects Crespin
Alexander de Tartagnis Imolensis was a 15th-century medieval jurist and lawyer who served in Bologna. The majority of his written work is commentary on selected parts of the Pandects, or Roman law digests. He also wrote independent advisory opinions on law cases; however, his opinions were not in favor of accusing criminals who had not been found guilty.
This rare 1535 two-volume set is a charming, decorative printing with woodcut engraved title pages.
