Description
Circa 1940s Vintage Photograph by Wide World Photos Press Association. Identification on paper attached to photo back reads; "WOODEN INDIANS NEAR END OF TRAIL - This little Indian is lucky little Indian. The pretty sqaw (sic) is Anne Jeffreys whose latest film is 'Zombies on Broadway'. The Indian has been used in many RKO productions and was bought from an antique dealer in 1932. His age is estimated at 100 years. His home in now Hollywood". Lot also includes copy of typed news article, "The Last of the Cigar Store Indians". (See scans.) Unmounted photo. Exterior photo dimensions are approximately: 7-1/4" x 9". Condition: soiling, occasional bends, scuffs and edge wear.
