Silk with multi-colored silk & gold brocade threads, linen waist band, embroidered satin bands to lower hems. China, 1920s

This radiant blue pair of silk woman's trousers Ku shows vivid embroideries depicting vases with flowers as well as smaller floral arrangements and fruits. The hems at the lower part feature a pale satin band each with fine embroidered decors and gold brocade thread. The broad waistband is made of plain crème colored linen.
