Description
Ebenezer Huntington (175-1834) Officer Continental Army. Huntington participated in the Battle of Rhode Island, where he took command of the regiment. Under his command, the unit fought in the Battle of Springfield in 1780 in New Jersey. He was given command of a light infantry regiment and marched with Washington to Yorktown, where he witnessed the surrender of Cornwallis. 8 ¼” x 13” certification of service for Stephen Roberts signed three times. Roberts also signs at the conclusion. Also signed by Elihu Mather (1741-1778). Huntington attests that “…Robberts (sp) served in Col. Sam B. Webb’s Regiment the year one Thousand Seven hundred Eighty….”
