CALDER ALEXANDER: (1898-1976) American Sculptor, famous as the originator of the delicately balanced moving sculptures composed of suspended shapes which move in response to touch or air currents, known as mobiles. Signed 6 x 4 postcard by Calder, the image depicting his artwork, a stationary sculpture (known as a 'stabile') entitled Cow, housed in The Museum of Modern Art in New York.
