Description

This badge is what we call a corker. The Great Falls Sandy Hill & Fort Edward was a predecessor of the better known Hudson Valley Railway. These were Street Railway operations in the capitol district of New York. It's the only piece of hardware that I have ever seen from this line. The original owner put a string tag with "1885-1901 into Hudson Valley". When I googled the initials for this line, that is exactly what came up. I don't google a lot of names or initials. This has to be a great badge.
