Pre-Columbian, Ecuador, Jamacoaque (also Jama Coaque), ca. 500 CE. Very fine pottery standing figure of a female, probably a whistle but now so clogged with earthen deposits it no longer functions. She stands with her hands to her sides, large typical Jama-style cap, surface with nice deposits. Size: 7" H (17.8 cm)
Provenance: Ex-Adeon Gallery, Nick Poolos collection acquired before 1974
