Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Jalisco, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A pair of pottery incensario covers in the form of huts, with large loops for grasping. One is buff, with four distinct legs sloping outward from a square rooftop; the other, a rounded form with a door, was painted with black on red slip and nicely burnished. Size of largest (rounded): 5" W x 4.1" H (12.7 cm x 10.4 cm)
Provenance: Ex-Adeon Gallery, Chicago, IL, acquired prior to 1970.
