A rare Chinese LuJun glaze (also called a jade candle ware) porcelain vase, of celestia shape form, heavier to lower body leading to waisted prominent tall neck with flared tim, and raised upon a splayed footed base. With characterizing dragon ornament sprigging on the shoulder. The surface of the glaze has a fluid appearance with a splash of purplish colors melting together to create abstracted effect against a turquoise-green ground underglaze. Elegantly displayed upon a carved hardwood stand.


Mark on base, incised six script -ZhuanShu- characters, QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing.
