ENGLISH SILVER LUSTRE PEARLWARE CERAMIC PITCHERS, LOT OF TWO, one with bird design and one with polychrome enamels over floral design. Unmarked. Staffordshire or Yorkshire and other areas. First quarter 19th century. 5 3/8" and 6 5/8" H.
Radial hairline on base of one and minute flake on rim of the other.
Literature: Bird design parallel to Gibson, 19th Century Lustreware , p. 147, Plate 117 (far right).
Provenance: De-accessioned from the Reeves Collection, Washington and Lee University, and sold to benefit the Acquisitions Fund.

Condition
