Condition: Very Good -- Sharp strike on thick paper, with vivid original hand coloring. Expertly restored by removing most of the spotty discoloration. One small foxing spot. Issued centerfold

This is a very attractive map of the Americas. Great deal of detail customary by this great German cartographer as to topography and settlements. Western portions of Europe and Africa are shown as well. Northern part of North America past California wasn’t yet discovered by Westerners, and this map reflects that with blank spaces for this unchartered region. Indian tribal lands are named in the map. The large title cartouche includes two erupting volcanoes, Native Americans, palm trees, sugar cane, parrots, and a pot of gold.
