Ancient Rome, ca. 2nd to 3rd century CE. Awe-inspiring hand blown ancient glass double unguent of striking pale blue-green hues with copious silver and rainbow iridescence. Elegant applied rigaree wrapping around the conjoined unguents and zigzagging around the necks of both unguents make for a stunning decorative motif. The elegant trailed handles are further adorned with tooling. Wealthy women in ancient Roman times would employ these pieces to contain their precious oils, perfumes, or cosmetics. Custom stand.
