A Chinese blue and white porcelain lidded box. Jianjing 6-character mark in underglaze blue and possibly of period. Lidded box, decorated with two five-claw dragon on the center of the lid with a "Shou" (longevity) character between the dragons. Having eight more dragons painted on different sides. 3 1/4"h x 5 3/4"w x 4 5/8"d.
Provenance: From the collection of diplomat T. Kobayashi, acquired in Tokyo in 1960s.
