Description
Greek, Southern Italy, Apulia / Daunian, ca. 300 BCE. A pretty, petite kylix, a drinking cup, with two flat handles extending from near the rim and a pronounced foot. The buff orange body has darker orange pigment in a thick band around the interior of the rim; thinner bands of paint give depth and design to the center of the bowl. Size: 5.45" L x 7.1" W x 1.45" H (13.8 cm x 18 cm x 3.7 cm)
Provenance: Ex- Collection of James Farmer, Maryland, collected from major galleries and auction houses between 1995 and 2005
