Description
Indonesia, Bali or Java, early 20th century CE. A fantastical hand-carved wooden mask with a jutting jaw, bulging eyes, and thick, carved ridges creating the appearance of hair. The figure has a long, thin nose and a flower-like carved medallion at the top of its head. It is painted green, with gold and black highlights, and has deep red lips with shiny silver teeth, including elongated canines. Comes with custom stand. Size: 6" L x 5.4" W x 8" H (15.2 cm x 13.7 cm x 20.3 cm); height on stand: 13.25" (33.7 cm)
