Pre-Columbian, Colombia, Narino culture, ca. 850 to 1500 CE. A seated pottery female wearing a long skirt, with her hands at her hips. The ingestion of coca is associated in ancient South American societies with a transformative state and her face, with its huge, bulging eyes, seems to suggest she is in a trance. Size: 4.4" L x 4" W x 5" H (11.2 cm x 10.2 cm x 12.7 cm)
