Pre-Columbian, Colombia, Quimbaya, ca. 400 - 1000 CE. Female figure with wonderfully colored and tattooed face with very rare negative resist decoration, sporting ancient gold nose ring through pierced septum, large nose, slit mouth, hands held upward appearing to have once held an offering, small indication of female genitalia. One of the finest examples of the type we have ever seen! Size: 7.5" W x 11" H (19 cm x 27.9 cm)

Condition
Repair and some restoration to lower half, but appears excellent plus! As these were low fired, it is very rare to find examples with no repairs.
