LENOX CHINA HOSTESS / COTTAGE ARTICLES, LOT OF SIX, comprising one "Hostess Collection" egg serving dish, one 13" D platter, and "Cottage Collection" pitcher, teapot, pitcher/creamer, and covered sugar jar. Three pieces marked with gilt "L" within a wreath, "LENOX", and "MADE IN U.S.A." Winslow Anderson designed for Lenox Ceramic Art Company, Trenton, New Jersey. Third quarter 20th century. 3 1/8" to 7 1/4" H.
Excellent undamaged condition.
Provenance: Winslow Anderson estate sold to benefit the Huntington Museum of Art.
Exhibited: Five examples, Huntington Museum of Art, 8/22/99-1/9/2000.
Catalogue Note: Winslow Anderson worked as a design director at Lenox China from 1953-1980.
