LENOX CHINA DIRECTIONAL / HORIZON / CELESTIAL ARTICLES, LOT OF FOUR, comprising one covered dish in "Directional Collection" or "Horizon Collection" pattern, two salt and pepper shakers in the "Celestial Collection pattern", and three straight-sided vases with basketweave panelled designs on sides, all with gilding. Unmarked. Winslow Anderson designed for Lenox Ceramic Art Company, Trenton, New Jersey. Third quarter 20th century. Vases 6 3/8" H.
Excellent undamaged condition.
Provenance: Winslow Anderson estate sold to benefit the Huntington Museum of Art.
Exhibited: Three examples, Huntington Museum of Art, 8/22/99-1/9/2000.
Catalogue Note: Winslow Anderson worked as a design director at Lenox China from 1953-1980.
