LENOX CHINA PROTOTYPE ARTICLES, LOT OF FOUR, comprising two pitcher forms in the "Carolina Collection" pattern, one in bisque and one glazed with gilding; and one bisque model and one glazed model of a low rounded drum-shaped pitcher with embossed foliate design on sides. One with green "L" within a wreath, "LENOX", and "MADE IN U.S.A." Winslow Anderson designed for Lenox Ceramic Art Company, Trenton, New Jersey. 20th century. 4 5/8" and 7 1/2" H.
Excellent undamaged condition.
Provenance: Winslow Anderson estate sold to benefit the Huntington Museum of Art.
Exhibited: Two examples, Huntington Museum of Art, 8/22/99-1/9/2000.
Catalogue Note: Winslow Anderson worked as a design director at Lenox China from 1953-1980.
Excellent undamaged condition.
