BLENKO GLASS - WINSLOW ANDERSON VASES, LOT OF FOUR, comprising a prototype ruby bottle vase, a green No. 905, also an amethyst and amber lobed example; each piece signed. Mid-20th century. 5 1/2" to 11 1/8" H.
Lobed examples with large bubbles, as made, with the amethyst having a large burst bubble to the side, as made, remainder undamaged.
Provenance: Winslow Anderson estate sold to benefit the Huntington Museum of Art.
Green No. 905 Exhibited: Huntington Museum of Art, 1981.
Catalogue Note: Winslow Anderson was the first design director at Blenko, he held this position from 1946 - 1952 before moving on as a design director for Lenox China in 1953.
