BLENKO INDENTED GLASS - WINSLOW ANDERSON ARTICLES, LOT OF FOUR, comprising a blue No. 949-S, an amethyst and ruby No. 487, and a No. 991 amethyst pitcher; all but the ruby vase being signed by the artist, two vases with the original label. Mid-20th century. 5 1/2" to 11" H.
Pitcher with a crack to the upper terminal of the handle, vases undamaged with some having minor interior residue.
Provenance: Winslow Anderson estate sold to benefit the Huntington Museum of Art.
Pitcher Exhibited: Huntington Museum of Art, 8/22/99-1/9/2000.
Catalogue Note: Winslow Anderson was the first design director at Blenko, he held this position from 1946 - 1952 before moving on as a design director for Lenox China in 1953.
