PROTOTYPE BLENKO/LENOX CUT GLASS - WINSLOW ANDERSON ARTICLES, LOT OF FOUR, colorless, comprising three vases and a horn, horn and two vases signed, vases signed, "LENOX". Mid-20th century. 3 5/8" to 6 1/4" H.
Vase with gilt with a minute flake to the rim, colorless vase with draped rim with a chip to the rim, horn with a chip and a few scattered nicks to the rim, ovoid example undamaged.
Provenance: Winslow Anderson estate sold to benefit the Huntington Museum of Art.
Exhibited: Huntington Museum of Art, 8/22/99-1/9/2000.
Catalogue Note: Winslow Anderson was the first design director at Blenko, he held this position from 1946 - 1952 before moving on as a design director for Lenox China in 1953.
