Description
Pre-Columbian, Mayan Territories, Honduras or El Salvador, ca 550 to 900 CE. Large pottery cylinder vase in a pinkish terracotta with red painted glyph band circling around top. Once covered in stucco, remnants of which are still present throughout. The glyph band includes two nice representations of Quetzalcoatl - the feathered serpent. Nice example! Size: 7.125" H (18.1 cm)
