Pennsylvania Railroad Brasstop BB Kelly Lantern -Plated

Item Details

Description

A triple marked Pennsylvania Railroad lantern made by Kelly in Rochester, New York. The lid has the smaller standard Kelly PRR stamped. The brass top is nickel plated and the plating is wearing through in places. Becasuse it's nickel plated it represents a “presentation” type of lantern. The twist off bell has the large PRR stamping on one side. The frame shows even pitting everywhere.

The globe is special, it has the very round ends to the panel and pronounced PRR in block lettering in the center. These round end panel globes always have extended bases and this one is no different. It's nice heavy glass.
