Description
A standard 5 3/8" size globe lantern frame made by Kelly. It has a couple of minor splits ion the brass top. The lid is stamped PRR in simple lettering. The frame shows pitting. The bell is easily removed and it has EBTRR ship stamped. Not sure if this was actually from the East Broad Top because it's a crude shop marking. When you look under the lid, there is epoxy or a Bondo type product liberally applied. There is some of this material inside of the base intake area. The pin guides and not the later stamped guides.
The globe is a nice extended base model with the pronounced Oval panel with PRR nicely cast. For some reason these globes never seem to have a manufacturing mark. Few roads used this style of globe. I will double check to see if the globe has a small beebee hole on the side.
