Items include his birth certificate accompanied by a facsimile copy, twenty-three photographs, school programs, two notebooks, one second grade promotion card, one tourism booklet for the Beautiful Caverns in Luray, Virginia and one handmade Valentine's Day card. Some edge wear, toning, and chipping with loss on photos and booklets. One school program heavily soiled on rear wrapper. Overall, a good collection of Spillane's early personal effects.
