Description
Rare Regency Bronze Library Clock, 1820-1830, on gilt-bronze Psyche-head feet, the stepped patinated bronze base supporting the engine-turned trim around the clock, set with an enamel dial, the lyre-form finial pierced with an arrow and terminating in swan's heads, labeled "F. Baetens, 23 Gerrard St., London", h. 10", w. 5-1/4", d. 3-1/4".
Condition
Gilded surface appears to be intact but dirty. Two flakes to enamel dial--one at IX and one small at III--and a tight hairline about 2" running from top. Arrow crest is slightly bent. Left front foot with small screw repair on side.
